Streamlining of research and development at BIG KAISER

26.02.2019

Ruemlang, Switzerland - February 26, 2019 - BIG KAISER, a global leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions for the metalworking industries, is optimizing the organizational structure of the research and development department to bring it closer to the customer.

BIG KAISER has taken the decision to move the areas of special tool design, patenting, licensing and trademark protection from the R&D department to the sales department. This reorganization aims to optimize resources by enabling the development department to focus more on its core activities, whilst fostering more flexibility in customer-oriented special solutions thanks to their resulting closer proximity to customers.

On 1 March 2019, Ralph Stadelmann, after 20 years as head of the R&D department at BIG KAISER, will now assume responsibility for the fast-growing special tools division. Following this change, the R&D department will be headed by José Fenollosa, who has worked under the Ralph Stadelmann since 2010 and comes with many years of experience as an electrical engineer, mainly in the development of digital tools. For the past couple of years, he has also been the man behind the scenes of many innovations at BIG KAISER. To ensure a smooth transition, Ralph Stadelmann will, of course, provide him with support and experience in product development.

"We are very happy to have José Fenollosa taking on such an important leadership role at BIG KAISER. He is an outstanding expert in the development and innovation of digital and analogue tools and his proven knowledge makes him the ideal person for this key position. The new arrangement will enable us to respond more directly to the wishes of our customers and ongoing market trends," said Reto Adam, CEO of BIG KAISER.
